| Slipstick I is based on a Public Missiles Limited 2.1 inch diameter Callisto kit with a 38mm motor mount (capable of launching with a 29mm motor as well). This kit uses a motor charge (non-electronic) deployment with a piston for deploying the single main 30" diameter parachute. The nose cone was modified to accept a Perfectflight Alt15K altimeter. Slipstick I reached 3216 feet AGL on an Aerotech H123W motor and landed 1/4 mile southeast of the launch pad. It took a while to find it, which prompted me to investigate a GPS tracking idea I had, which will appear on all future rockets I build. |
