Demagogue is a senior project from two CU-Denver students, Michael Gallaway and Jeffery Smith, that at the time happened to be interns at StorageTek. We got together later in their project and they finished their bot at the Robot Dojo. Demagogue is a Battlebots MW that has now competited at BB 4.0 and fought 4 matches.

Demagogue weapons, include a pivoting wedge and two 10" metal cutting saw blades. There are four 'EV' motors in Demagogue, two for the individual blades and two for the drive motors. The wheel hubs and motor mounts were machined at the CU-Denver Aurora campus, and the chassis is made of 1/4" thk 6061-T6. (The chassis max'd out the Dojo's Lincoln 175 TIG welder and kept getting over temp indications. We now vow to only use steel in the construction of robots, unless we move up to a Lincoln 275.)

Both Michael and Jeff have now graduated with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering and are out pursuing their carreers. They have left a legacy at the campus for the next class of seniors doing a college sponsored battlebot.
